General Information Lewisdale University Park Boys and Girls Club is a non-profit, volunteer-run sports organization that serves the Lewisdale, University Hills, and University Park areas (see map of borders). We can accept out of area players for non-county play (tee-ball, coach pitch, intramural soccer, and some basketball) or in rare cases a seasonal transfer from a club that does not offer a team in a specific sport and age group. The Prince Georges County Boys and Girls Club (PGCBGC), located in Landover, oversees fields, officials, certification of players, and schedules for football, cheerleading, basketball, soccer, softball, and baseball. Girls Lacrosse is organized through The Prince George's Girls' Lacrosse Club. Boys Lacrosse is organized through Southern Maryland Lacrosse. Lewisdale University Park Boys & Girls Club takes players from areas only within these boundaries (Click here to view LUPBGC boundary map) for Prince George's County B&G club leagues (which at this time includes most of the soccer for 3rd grades and up, softball, football, basketball and baseball. Some soccer, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse teams play in unaffiliated leagues which do not have the same residency requirements. We organize our own intramural soccer (grades K-2), Tee ball, and coach pitch, which do not follow these boundaries. Residency in the areas shown by the borders on the map apply for: **County sports: soccer, softball, and
baseball, basketball and football. **Out of Prince George's County soccer. There are season-by-season exceptions (seasonal transfers) made for sports in which LUP may not field a team at a particular age group or sport. The player must register with LUPBGC (and pay annual registration fee), get a letter of transfer from LUPBGC President, and pay the sports fee to the transfer club. |
